The Directors and Staff of Reforesting Scotland (12 of us plus Karen who joined via Skype) met at Falkland this weekend. A highlight was a tour round the estate with Ninian whose family are the Stewards. It is a wonderful place, full of creativity and community initiatives. We visited Cash Wood (named after the family of Johnny Cash) and saw the new car park, new access track and the first hut nearing completion. Really nice design and detailing, built by Peter and Marek. Do you like it?

This Falkland hutting site looks great, and I am thankful for the great content here. I will share this with my best essay writer service friends now. I hope they'll appreciate me for doing this.
This is beautiful, agree William, love that it's nestled into the trees, the sloped roof, the roofed porch, the windows . And good tip re importance of light, I'd assumed so but will look again at our design. And great to see that this is site is growing.
Yes anne some plots available check out centreforstewardship.org.uk
This is beautiful! Are there hut sites still available in Cash Wood? Thanks, Anne Andrews Denny
Oh yeah. Another point: This hut needs to be added to the "Hut Inspiration" page ASAP! ( Assuming it's intended occupants/owners are OK with that)
I think this is fantastic! It is really inspiring to see a new hut like this, built under new legislation, go up in a Scottish wood. So many of the inspirational Hut pictures I see are from the USA ("Cabin Porn" etc.) or Scandinavia so it's a real buzz to see one on my own turf. I think this hut looks elegant and attractive. I like the way the covered porch has been reduced in width to allow the full height windows on the left to get maximum daylight. Daylight is so,so important in a hut. I'm just getting to grips with this realisation myself. I plan to use this idea of a small-ish covered porch, rather than a full-width one in my own design. I reckon any porch/verandah in a wood will need a roof over it, if it is not to become green slime covered, but then the roof cuts out daylight. Well done the Cash Wood team! Hut Envy!
I like it's built right into the trees. And the corner gazing detail.
