My husband and I are keen to get a hut in Dumfries and Galloway as it’s an area we love and would like to spend more time there with our young kids. We’d be happy to rent a wee bit of land or purchase a small piece of affordable land (these seem hard to come by) and don’t mind whether we do this on our own or with a small group of other interested hutters.. Thanks for your reply. Yes, we’d be looking to build our own wee, modest hut. We have 2 young kids and live 2 hours away so don’t think we’d have the capacity at this stage to take on tree planting, planting veg etc on top of building a hut.
Hi Isla, we are in the early stages of applying for planning permission for huts at Frugaldom. Are you looking to build your own hut and would you be working on the land - tree planting, gardening, growing fruit/veg etc?
