Hut Build School - course at Falkland in September

From 6th – 10th September, Duncan Roberts will be teaching a hut building course at Falkland.

This 4-day residential course run by Falkland Estate is designed to help people who want to build a Hut, Bothy or Cabin by taking them through the first stages of building & erecting a timber frame using Scottish-grown softwood. The course will follow the self-build method pioneered by architect Walter Segal & will cover additional aspects of the construction of roofs, walls & floors. The course will be practical & hands-on with opportunities to discuss your own ideas. There will be evening talks covering similar projects elsewhere.

  • 4-day residential (Tue-Fri)

  • 12 spaces

  • lunch and dinner included

  • camping pitch is inclusive for Mon-Thu

This is something I'd most certainly be happy to learn more off, but can't make it to the course. It would be great if any knowledge/videos/photos taken during the course can be shared online. Sometimes it's nice to just see in stages how people construct things. Get a flow for how to work it. Will be great if you can do so with this course.
